Terms of Service
Photo Finish Detailing
Effective date:10/11/25
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) describe the conditions for using pf-detailing.com and, when provided and accepted as part of your booking or service authorization, purchasing services from Photo Finish Detailing (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
Your accepted quote, work order, and applicable written warranty describe the services and terms specific to your vehicle. If a specific term in that agreement conflicts with these general Terms, the specific agreed term controls, subject to applicable law. These Terms do not replace any disclosures, authorizations, or protections required by law.
1. Website Use and Service Authorization
You agree to provide accurate information and use our website lawfully. You may not interfere with website security, introduce malicious software, attempt unauthorized access, impersonate another person, or submit fraudulent inquiries.
To authorize work, you must have legal capacity to enter into the agreement and be the vehicle’s owner or authorized to approve services on the owner’s behalf.
2. Quotes, Pricing, and Additional Work
Website prices described as “starting at” are estimates. Final pricing depends on the service selected, vehicle size and condition, materials, preparation, and other requirements identified during assessment.
We will explain the agreed scope, price or pricing method, applicable taxes, and any additional charges before you authorize work. If inspection reveals a need for additional work or a price change, we will obtain your approval before performing that additional work or incurring the additional charge.
Submitting an inquiry, requesting a quote, or receiving an automated chatbot response does not confirm an appointment or authorize work. Confirmation must come from our team.
We may correct website errors, but will not use a correction to increase an already accepted price without your agreement.
3. Appointments, Deposits, and Cancellations
Appointments are subject to availability and confirmation. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel, reschedule, or will arrive late.
If a deposit is required, we will disclose its amount, how it applies to your balance, and its cancellation and refund conditions before you book or pay. A cancellation fee, missed-appointment fee, or nonrefundable deposit condition applies only if clearly disclosed and accepted beforehand and permitted by law.
Completion times are estimates unless expressly agreed otherwise. Vehicle condition, curing requirements, material availability, and unexpected conditions may affect timing. We will communicate material delays and discuss available options.
If we cannot provide the agreed service, we will work with you to reschedule or refund amounts paid for services we will not perform, subject to any lawful, separately agreed charges for work already authorized and completed.
4. Vehicle Preparation and Condition
Before your appointment, remove valuables and personal items that could interfere with the work. Tell us about known damage, prior repairs or repainting, loose components, aftermarket modifications, mechanical concerns, leaks, and any condition that may affect safe service.
We may inspect and document the vehicle’s condition for service and customer-support records. If we identify a condition that changes the scope or creates a material risk, we will discuss it with you before proceeding with the affected work.
With your service authorization, our staff may move your vehicle as reasonably necessary on our premises. Road use, pickup, delivery, or transportation requires separate authorization and any applicable service-specific terms.
Existing damage is not automatically our responsibility merely because it becomes visible during cleaning. This does not excuse damage we cause or worsen through negligent work.
5. Service Results and Aftercare
Detailing, paint correction, ceramic coatings, paint protection film, and window tinting are affected by the vehicle’s existing condition and the selected service. Some stains, odors, scratches, etching, or other defects may not be fully removable.
Protective products can reduce certain types of wear or exposure, but do not make a vehicle damage-proof or eliminate the need for maintenance. Any specific result or performance promise in your accepted agreement or applicable warranty remains in effect.
Follow the care and curing instructions provided for your service. Where maintenance or inspections are conditions of a warranty, those requirements will be disclosed in the applicable warranty terms.
Window tint selection and installation are subject to applicable legal requirements. Tell us where the vehicle is registered and provide any applicable exemption documentation before installation. A customer’s request does not authorize an unlawful installation or relieve us of our own legal obligations.
6. Payments and Service Concerns
Unless your accepted quote or work order states otherwise, payment is due when the agreed services are completed. Accepted payment methods and any lawful payment-related charges will be disclosed before payment.
If you have a concern about the work, contact us promptly and provide relevant details or photographs. We may ask to inspect the vehicle to understand the issue and determine an appropriate response.
Any correction, repeat service, price adjustment, or refund will be assessed under your agreement, applicable warranties, and the law. Asking you to report a concern promptly does not shorten a statutory or warranty claim period or require you to give up available remedies.
7. Warranties
Warranty coverage varies by product and service. Where a package is advertised or sold with a warranty, the applicable warranty terms will identify the provider, duration, covered conditions, exclusions, maintenance requirements, and claim process.
Ask us for those written terms before purchasing. A reference to a “lifetime” warranty is subject to its disclosed definition of lifetime and other lawful coverage conditions; it is not an unlimited guarantee against every form of damage.
These Terms do not cancel or reduce an advertised or agreed express warranty, or any warranty or consumer protection that cannot lawfully be excluded. Manufacturer warranty coverage does not automatically replace our responsibility for our own workmanship or legal obligations.
8. Gift Certificates and Promotions
Our website links to Square for gift certificate purchases. Applicable purchase and redemption terms will be disclosed before purchase and remain subject to consumer-protection law.
For paid gift certificates covered by New York’s current gift certificate rules, any expiration date must be no earlier than nine years after issuance or the last loading of funds, whichever is later. Prohibited fees will not be charged. Eligible single-merchant certificates with a balance below $5 may be redeemed for cash on request as required by law.
Free promotional certificates may have different lawful terms disclosed when issued. Promotional offers are subject to their stated eligibility, dates, and conditions; restrictions will not be added retroactively to an accepted purchase.
9. Website Content and Intellectual Property
The website’s original text, photographs, graphics, logos, and other content belong to Photo Finish Detailing or the respective rights holders.
You may use the website to learn about our business and request services. Except as permitted by law, you may not reproduce, sell, modify, or use protected content for commercial purposes without the rights holder’s permission.
Submitting information or photographs for a quote or service request does not give us an unrestricted right to use your identity or materials in advertising. Any required marketing permission will be obtained separately.
10. Third-Party Tools and Automated Chat
Our website may include forms, automated chat, videos, payment links, and other tools provided by third parties. Those providers may have their own terms and privacy policies.
Automated chat provides general information and may contain errors. Confirm pricing, availability, product suitability, warranty coverage, and appointment details directly with our team before relying on them for a purchase.
We do not control the availability or operation of third-party websites. Using a third-party tool does not remove our responsibilities concerning services or purchases you make from us.
11. Privacy and Communications
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose personal information.
Providing contact information allows us to respond to your request and communicate about an agreed service. It does not, by itself, constitute consent to automated promotional calls or text messages. Any legally required marketing consent will be requested separately.
12. Website Availability and Limits of Liability
We aim to keep website information accurate and the website available, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may temporarily restrict access for maintenance, security, or technical reasons.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising solely from interruption or inability to access the website.
This website-access limitation does not limit responsibility for negligent damage to your vehicle, personal injury, fraud, gross negligence, intentional misconduct, breaches of applicable warranties, or other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing in these Terms makes our vehicle services “as is” or waives non-excludable consumer rights.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
New York law governs these Terms to the extent permitted by law. Mandatory consumer protections that otherwise apply remain in effect.
Please contact us about a dispute so we can attempt to resolve it. This request does not prevent you from using small claims court, filing a complaint with a government agency, or pursuing any other available legal remedy. These Terms do not require binding arbitration.
14. Changes and Severability
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new effective date. Changes apply prospectively and do not alter an existing accepted service agreement unless separately agreed or required by law. Where acceptance is required, we will request it.
If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
